James Hicks was born on November 21st, 1995. He Grew up in Carleton Place, Ontario, and attended Notre Dame Catholic High school. He is currently known for his portrayal of Edwin Kroeger in Roland Emmerich’s hit film Midway alongside Ed Skrein, Patrick Wilson, Woody Harrelson, Dennis Quaid, Luke Evans, and Nick Jonas, as well as the box office hit Longshot starring Charlize Theron and Seth Rogan. He portrayed the hero character Dane in Square Enix’s video game The Quiet Man and Forest Freihaut in the Canadian Screen Award-winning CBC series The Detectives opposite actor Sasha Roiz. More recent work includes his role as Dylan Seeble in the Lifetime feature film Obsession: Stalked by My Lover, Mike Crenshaw in Adrian Langley’s Amazon Prime horror film Butchers, and his upcoming role as Rob Walsh on CBC’s Murdoch Mysteries. Hicks has also appeared on the popular Amazon Prime video series The Boys alongside Chase Crawford, Netflix’s original series Jupiter’s Legacy opposite Josh Duhamel, Netflix’s film Luckiest Girl Alive starring Mila Kunis, and Netflix’s third season of The Umbrella Academy. He has trained with Academy award-winning writer, director, and producer Bobby Moresco, and holds a minor in theatre from the University of Ottawa.
